This is me after working with Pixer. I couldn't view the picture the first time I downloaded it, so tried it with a different extension. So this is my second try. I now have several of these pictures on my drive, so I'll have to go delete the ones the didn't work. It's a journey!

Week 3: post 3 (I think)
I liked the idea of "Captioner"; but wish it had a "browse" function to find the photos. It looks like something I could and would do. I must say I read what a "mashup" is and still didn't understand it. I'm feeling rather like my mother when cassette players first came out. She was lost from the beginning. This thought is scary - I've become my mother!!!!!

Bling!
Got our bling today. First comment from staff was how nice it was that the star was squishy and could double as a stress reliever. Next several comments were, "Where is the Prozac?"

Flat Matt in the Garden
I just want this to be over - this is way too hard to be doing this at work. This is not fun anymore!!!!!
Flickr failure
I tried working with Flickr yesterday - I did get an account created and a picture uploaded. But it was tough trying to get that done during my work time. It was very busy and the best I could do was get that picture on. I'll try more today. I do believe it is a full moon!

Internet safety/privacy
Blogging for learning purposes will probably be the most I use this format. I chat with those I want to in AIM; email family and friends regularly; text the kids and spouse and call (caller ID is the best invention) the rest of the time. I'm not introspective and could care less about writing my thoughts down. Got a diary once and only had 3 entries. Didn't feel the urge to ever do that again. Don't expect that will come over me any time soon.
Regarding internet safety: only order from secure sites and limit those. So feel I'm pretty safe. We do move money online and pay bills so there is always the chance for fraud. But don't give out any information unless we initiate the call/request.

major frustration
This is maddening! 3 steps back for every step forward!!!! Thank heavens for staff who knows what they are doing!!!!!
How to register
Baby steps! Found out how to register my blog so I will be "counted".
Went to Gadgets and Gizmos today - found out about several "gadgets" and websites that seem interesting. Will have to spread the word.

Frustration
I'm somewhat frustrated; what does this mean? From our Qs and As on Harriet:
"I would like to participate but don't feel comfortable with my co-workers reading my blog, can I participate anonymously?Yes & No. Since you control all the information that you share on your blog, you can choose to use a screen name to identify yourself to keep yourself anonymous. However, in order to receive the training hours and iHCPL bling, you will need to identify yourself when you register. Your name and blog will not be associated with each other publicly."
How do you "identify yourself when you register"? Register with whom?

Blogging: the first step
I'm testing this out to see how easy/hard it will be to "blog". And then to explain it to someone who hasn't a clue about "electrons". I suspect it will not be easy.
